Riding, nature and a warm welcome
We are fortunate to lead our rides through one of Hungary's most beautiful landscapes: the forests of the Pilis and the Visegrád Hills. Most routes follow waymarked hiking and riding trails, along with a few favourite paths we have discovered over the years. Panoramic viewpoints give way to woodland tracks, open meadows and mountain ridges, making every ride a little different.
Ride options
Two-hour trail ride
Our most popular programme. Rides usually set off on Saturday and Sunday mornings, meeting at 10:00. In the summer heat, we typically start at 18:00 instead, for the comfort of both horses and riders.
Private and one-to-one rides can also be arranged on weekdays with advance booking.
Price
HUF 25,000 / person
The price covers both the ride and the refreshments afterwards.
Longer rides
We organise three- to four-hour trail rides from time to time and can also arrange one on a date that suits you. These longer outings take you to some of the Visegrád Hills' more remote and remarkable corners.
A few of our favourite destinations:
Prédikálószék
Perhaps the Danube Bend's best-known panorama — and, for many, one of the finest natural views in Hungary.
Sikárosi-rét
A vast, rolling mountain meadow encircled by forested peaks — one of the area's most remarkable places.
Nagyvillám
A hilltop high above Visegrád with glorious views — and an almost 900-metre Canopy zip line for the adventurous.
Trail ride + forest restaurant
One of our most distinctive experiences combines a beautiful ride with good food. We ride to one of our favourite forest restaurants for lunch or dinner, then return to our base on horseback.
The programme includes around two hours in the saddle, plus time to relax at the restaurant. Choose between:
- Ördögmalom Forest Restaurant — Apátkúti Valley
- Kisrigó Restaurant — Pilisszentlászló
Price
HUF 35,000 / person
The price includes your food and drink at the restaurant.
Stay a little longer.
The ride doesn't end in the saddle.
After the ride, home-baked cake, a hot meal or a cold platter will be waiting for you. We sit down together, talk and relive the best moments of the day. We love getting to know our guests — and welcoming them back next time as old friends.
Good to know
Experience
Our trail rides are for riders who are confident in walk, trot and canter. We cannot take complete beginners out on the trail.
Gentler rides
Gentler rides at walk, or walk and trot, are also possible, but you will still need sound basic riding skills.
What to wear
Sturdy, closed-toe footwear and clothing suited to the weather are essential. We can lend you a riding helmet if needed.
Your horse
We'll choose the horse best suited to you and the ride — or you are welcome to bring your own by prior arrangement.
Shall we find a date that suits you?
We share our upcoming ride dates on Facebook. If none of them suits you, tell us roughly when you'd like to come and how many will be joining you — we'll arrange the rest together.
